Chelmsford Bunker Umbra League 2013 - Week 1 results

We played week one of the Umbra league on Wednesday 3rd April 2013 @ Bunker HQ in Chelmsford.

Using the Ghost Town scenario from the Umbra league pack and having a fixed 35pt game limit. I allowed people to play up to three games and take the best two results.

While interesting, the Umbra scenarios have proved a little lack luster and so we will be using SR2013 scenarios the rest of the way for the league.

Results after one week are below:

Congratulations to Paul who leads after week one, however the road is long with 13pts available in the three league schematic bonuses.

Chelmsford Bunker Journeyman League 2013 Week 2 Result

So week two is in the books.

We played games at 25pts and used the Chemical Reaction scenario from the SR2013 pack.

Maximum of 3 games, with a win being worth 5pts, plus 5pts for a painted 25pt army and a bonus 3 points for a custom 50mm Objective marker. So a total of 23pts on offer.

Nice to see Fred and Mat at the club. You can never have too many Cryx and Menoth players :-P

So after two weeks, the man / machine Tom Simms is in a pretty dominant position. I will allow 3 games of 35pts to be played in week three (27th March) and so with painting and "mystery bonus", you could score a massive 31pts on the night!

Special mentions to Vicky for her 50mm objective, which she sent in even though she had "flu" and Alex, who scored a bonus to take him to 5pts for the epic wobbly man 50mm objective.

So congratulations to the winner Tom Simms, who would have gone perfect for the season if not for the doubles games last week.

I have a nice little trophy in mind for you my good sir and should have it ready by the Bunker AGM in December.

The only player who could have caught Tom was Shane Davey (Rodders), but he missed a week and still managed to take second place.

Thanks to everyone who took part and made it a success, even if the scenarios left a little to be desired overall. Please feed back what you feel worked well or not, so we can improve the way these leagues work at the Bunker in 2013.
